The World Padel Tour announced a special arrangement for the Dubai Padel Masters in an attempt to have local talent participating alongside international players. There will be two qualifiers held, one in Spain and the other in Dubai and at the end of the qualifiers, the top four pairs will qualify for the main competition of the Dubai Padel Masters.
The special Higher Organising Committee of the tournament met earlier this week under the joint chairmanship of Khalifa Al Khoory, vice president of EPTA and Mohammed Al Mutwaiwe'e as tournament director.
"Our work on this prestigious competition commences with the setting up of the Higher Organising Committee. The challenge now is to work efficiently with an early deadline in mind. Dubai is known the world over for its ability to host some of the top sporting events and I am sure we will come up with yet another successful competition," noted Al Khoory.
The World Padel Tennis calendar consists of 19 tournaments this year, along with five Masters Open and four Challengers. As per importance, the Masters Open tournaments are the most important followed by the tournaments and challengers. Dubai will be one of the five stops for Masters Open events in 2015 along with Barcelona, Monaco, Malaga and Valencia.
