The Cormorant Team from British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) is currently leading the ADSCL by nine points, closely followed by Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club. Abu Dhabi Golf Club and the Dhabi team from BSAK are joint in third place.

The ADSCL is an initiative developed by Troon Golf Abu Dhabi in a bid to encourage more junior golfers to play competitively. The 2013 league, sponsored by Rosewood Abu Dhabi, first teed off in November 2012 and has travelled through some top clubs.

: Abu Dhabi Golf Club, Abu Dhabi City Golf Club, Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Golf Club and Yas Links Abu Dhabi. It is the first-of-its-kind inter-club league to offer free tee-times to juniors.

First developed in 2011, the league is spearheaded by Saadiyat Beah Golf Club’s junior golf expert P-J Van Merch.

“Between Troon Golf Abu Dhabi and the other clubs, we realised that the number of juniors enrolled in coaching programmes stands at over 500, but surprisingly, the number of juniors competing on the course is only a fraction of this figure, so we started the league to encourage some healthy competition,” P-J said.
