Yas Links member, Sana Tufail, champion of the event in 2011 and 2012, showed some great form as she shot a new ladies course record of 3 under par 68 to be crowned champion once again at the 2014 Ping Dubai Creek Ladies Amateur Open.
After being presented her prize Tufail commented: “It is always a privilege to play Dubai Creek. I knew I had to up my game today as the field was very strong. It was pleasing to shoot the ladies course record, especially under the pressure of playing in this field today, and it’s great to win the title for the third time”.

Another solid score came from Kim Chiang of Arabian Ranches who took the runners-up spot with a 6 over par 77.

In the Silver Division it was Creek member Marie-Amelie Burty who was victorious with a solid 1 over par net 72.

Cecillia Krefting of Emirates Golf Club finished runner-up in the division with a net 76.

The home course advantage showed in the Bronze Division with a Creek 1 & 2. Kuson Waimer took top spot with a fantastic 1 under par net 70 and fellow member Mini Philip was just one back in runner up spot on 71. Henna Jodha & Jae Bowers were awarded for their accurate tee shots in the nearest the pin competitions on the par 3 8th & 14th holes.

After the prize presentation David Stevenson of Pro Sports commented: “Well done to all of the ladies that played today and another congratulations to the winners. It’s really great to see so much support for these events and we are glad to be a part of it. I wish you all good luck for the rest of the season and look forward to this particular event’s continued success in the future.”
