Oman wins final 5-4 in penalty shootout

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; congratulated Oman on their 23rd Gulf Cup victory.
Taking to Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: "Congratulations to the Sultanate of Oman - its leadership and people, for winning the 23rd Gulf Cup. It was a fantastic performance by the Omani players. We have received a warm vibes from our Omani brothers. This mutual love will be deeply rooted over the coming days. Although the cup goes to Oman, the joy is for both brotherly nations."
In a series of tweets, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said: "Congratulations to the UAE and Oman for this sincere fraternity and sportmanship which decorated the final of the Gulf Cup. We are both victorious through affection and enjoying healthy competition.
Congratulations to the brotherly Sultanate of Oman - its leaders and people for this great sports achievement. The excellent win of the Omani football team in the 23rd Gulf Cup was marked by a stellar performance and that was pleasurable for everyone.
Thank you to the Amir of Kuwait for your kind heart in hosting this successful event. My greetings to the people of Kuwait who drew a painting of love for their brothers in the Gulf.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai also congratulated Oman on their win and thanked Kuwait for hosting the event and their hospitality.
