South Korea started their Asian Five Nations campaign with one of their biggest ever wins on Friday when they demolished UAE 75-10 to go joint top of the table.
The Koreans, who had a bye during last week’s opening fixtures, poured on the pain for the UAE team to draw level with Hong Kong and mighty Japan with six points after one game.
The victory was South Korea’s second biggest in the competition after their 87-17 rout of Kazakhstan last year, and was on a par with their 65-0 win over Singapore in 2009.
Hong Kong host Japan, the five-time defending champions who have claimed a bonus-point win in all 21 of their Asian Five Nations games so far, on Saturday.
