Varsities battle it out at Manipal fest

Ten universities are involved in the extravaganza including the American University of Sharjah, University of Wollongong – Dubai; Middlesex University – Dubai, University of Sharjah; Rochester Institute of Technology – Dubai; Heriot Watt University – Dubai; Gulf Medical University – Ajman; Amity University - Dubai; Canadian University of Dubai and hosts Manipal University-Dubai Campus.

The events are being held at the Manipal campus’s state of the art facilities and also partly at the Dubai Club for Special Sports, Zabeel Park and The Sevens Stadium.

Krishnakumar C Negade, the head of the Manipal University-Dubai sporting committee said: “The whole idea of the event is to be able to showcase our top-of-the-line infrastructure spread across 750,000sq/ft at the Dubai International Academic City and to be able to provide our players with sports facilities of the highest international standards. We want them to participate to the best of their competitive abilities and enjoy a great sporting experience at the same time.”
