Veteran Sidhwa deadly

DUBAI — A brilliant 91 by Waqas, 100 by Shabbir, 100 not out Mohammed Ilyas and a deadly spell by Freddy Sidhwa, (4-32) led Seven Seas in securing an important win in the 11th Oasis Chemical Cricket Cup.

The tournament is sponsored by Venu Gopal of Oasis Chemicals Sharjah, and is organised by the Seven Seas Sports Club.

The tournament is being held under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council at the ground in the DIP area.

Batting first, Seven Seas Strikers scored a 314 for 4 in 25 overs.

Waqas 91, while Shabir and Mohammed Ilyas made 100 each.

Marlin, Ateeq, Majid and Viven took 1 wicket each

Chasing Golden Line managed 269 for all out 24.1 overs.

Ateeq scored 90 while Majid Made 92, they together put on a solid partnership of 140 and where looking good but with the introduction of veteran cricketer Freddy Sidhwa he picked both their wickets and ended up with 4 for 32.
