Dubai — Plans for a 289-room Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza in Dubai Marina are well under way, with its completion expected early next year, said Manoj Padhi, general manager — hospitality division, Hotel Versailles and Raviz Center Point Hotel, Dubai.

With this addition, the Raviz Group, an ancillary of the RP Group of Companies, will to add to its hospitality portfolio of resorts and hotels in the UAE and India.

“We have another mega project coming up that involves a mixed-use development — serviced apartments and a mall located in Mohammed bin Rashid City,” he said.

Padhi added that the group’s first Dubai-based hotel, Hotel Versailles in Al Rigga, launched in 2006, would be rebranded into a four-star property with quality standards and services on par with Raviz Center Point Hotel in Bur Dubai.

Led by chairman Dr Ravi Pillai, who is listed by Forbes as one of India’s richest businessmen, Raviz’ resorts maintain an average occupancy rate of about 80 to 90 per cent around the year, regardless of the season, notably in Dubai.

Raviz Center Point Hotel, in particular, enjoys a high rating of 4.5 on travel website Tripadvisor, based on positive global reviews.

The establishment, which opened its doors in November last year, has also been tantalising tastebuds with Pan-Asian dishes prepared by executive chef Robin G. Gomes, who brings over 35 years of culinary experience in the UAE, alongside a star chef from Blue Elephant in Bangkok, Thailand.

Raviz Center Point Hotel attracts 40 per cent of source bookings from online travel agencies (OTAs), while 60 per cent are corporate, according to Padhi.

“Our tagline is ‘exceeding your expectations’. We go that extra mile in terms of services, user-friendliness, and the product itself to give guests the experience of receiving more value for money,” Padhi added.
