As one person was killed and 21 were injured in a Houthi drone attack on Abha civilian airport in southern Saudi Arabia, the Joint Command of the Coalition Forces said it will take "urgent and timely measures" to deter terrorists and ensure the protection of civilians and their properties.

The command said terrorist operatives responsible for the planning and executing the attack will be held accountable.

In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, coalition spokesman Colonel Turki Al Malki said the terrorist attack has resulted in the martyrdom of a Syrian resident and injury to 21 civilians, including 13 Saudis, four Indians, two Egyptians, and two Bangladeshis.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation condemned the attack which, it said, flies in the face of all international laws and conventions.

"The UAE reiterates its solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against any threat to its security and stability and supports all measures taken by the Saudi government to maintain the security of its citizens and residents," a statement said.

The Arab Parliament, Jordan and Kuwait also condemned the Houthi attack on a civilian airport. - Wam
