An Egyptian mother thought it best to put her three children on sale as her last resort against poverty and hunger.
The poor, homeless mother took the drastic step so that she could feed herself and her husband. According to the reports in Al Arabiya, Hagar Taalab from Desouk, was pictured holding a banner in her hand, stating that each of her children is on sale to provide for food and shelter.
The family does not have a place to live after they were forced out of their accommodation for not paying the rent.
The city mayor provided them with a state-owned shop to live in but even that was sold off, leaving them without anywhere to go.
