Lightfoot will provide upgrade, modification and repair services to standard and non-magnetic air-conditioning plants and associated equipment of naval vessels calling at the yard.
During a ceremony held at ASRY's headquarters, the service agreement was signed under the umbrella of the ongoing Project Jupiter - an initiative to make ASRY the leading hub of onsite specialist contractors in the Arabian Gulf. The agreement provides a permanent presence for Lightfoot in ASRY, and also confirms that Lightfoot will construct a new service workshop inside ASRY, with a timeline to be confirmed within three months.
The agreement covers the provision of military engineers familiar with UK's Ministry of Defence (MOD) standards, technical advice, equipment and spares, transportation solutions, liaison routing to the UK MOD, and more.
Bapco recognises IMS Internal Auditors
The Bahrain Petroleum Company's (Bapco's) Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Internal Auditors and the best action owners for 2015 with no overdue actions were hosted and recognised by Bapco's Deputy Chief Executive (Refining & Marketing) Ebrahim Talib early this month.
The recognition is in line with the attendees' valuable contributions and worthy efforts in conducting effective Integrated Management System audits in 2015, and for ensuring Bapco's ongoing improvements in quality audits in the Quality Management System, Operational Excellence, Environmental Management System, Occupational Health & Safety and PSM (SHEQ).
The four action owners were recognised for their efforts in ensuring that no actions reached the overdue stage throughout 2015. At the recognition lunch, Talib emphasised the importance of the quality of internal audits being delivered and their timely completion of action without being overdue or needing extension in Bapco's governance processes, particularly as a leading indicator.
