Lebanon's Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi on Sunday announced his resignation, blaming political rivals Hezbollah and their allies for the country's political crisis, which has seen it without a president for 21 months and paralysed state institutions.
"Continuing (to be part of) this government has become an agreement to this deviation, or at least is a failure to confront it," Rifi said in a statement.
"So I present to you and to Prime Minister Tammam Salam my resignation."
