Maria Asif:
Here in the UAE, we celebrate the Pakistan Resolution Day. It is a national duty, especially for the people who are living outside Pakistan. We pay tributes to Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. We also offer awareness to our kids about the struggle of the Muslims for their right to self-determination and how important it is to safeguard Pakistan's solidarity and integrity.
Anmol Abdul Qadir:
An expatriate born and brought up in Dubai, I have been back to Pakistan a handful of times, but still I feel a special connection to Pakistan and whenever there is something new I am filled with pride and joy. My parents have always kept me in touch with Karachi, with how they grew up and honestly I don't feel that distant from Pakistan whenever I go back. March 23 in my family holds a special place as it does for many other Pakistani families.
Hamza Arshad:
On March 23, a resolution was passed by the Pakistan Muslim League led by the founder of Pakistan Mohammed Ali Jinnah and other founding fathers. Allama Muhammad Iqbal presented an idea for a separate nation regarding the differences between Hindus and Muslims. Both have differences in their culture and religion. On March 23, 1940, this resolution was passed and the dream of Muslims for a separate nation came true on August 14, 1947. On the world map, a new country appeared named Pakistan, and it celebrates this day with honour.
Syed Irfan:
Pakistan's Resolution Day is on March 23, when people celebrate the day every year with great zeal and enthusiasm to salute the most outstanding of subcontinent Muslims who succeeded the historic Pakistan Resolution on the day at Hinto Park.
Fazal Hakim Shahid:
A day of commitment, Muhammad Ali Jinnah once said, "There is no power on the earth that can undo Pakistan." I would like to pray for Pakistan on this great occasion."Let patriotism be guided by the ideals that give birth to this great nation. May our country be bestowed with the blessing of peace and harmony."
Fizza Mukhtar:
March 23 is a very important date in Pakistani history. In 1940 a resolution was passed in Lahore, and Pakistan became the first Islamic Republic State. We are very proud of our founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah and want to preserve and celebrate our freedom and values. We are proud to believe that we have one of the best armed forces in the world and a parade by the armed forces is part of the celebration. Having Imran Khan as our leader now we hope to see Pakistan prosper. Minar-e-Pakistan is a national monument built in Lahore to mark this special occasion.
