An adaptation of Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran’s masterpiece, The Prophet is a collaboration between standout animation directors around the world including Dubai’s own Freej creator Mohammed Saeed Harib, each helming a chapter of the movie.

The actors hired to voice the characters -- Salma Hayek (who also produced the work), Liam Neeson and Quvenzhane Wallis also make this one to watch.

It is difficult to put into words how the 26 poems of Gibran’s book are collated into a movie (before we even begin to mention the reported cuts to the final edit Gulf residents will have to endure), suffice to say it is a beautiful tale told wonderfully through animation.
