If you are an Indian amnesty-seeker looking for a job, you must approach the Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra (PBSK) for help.
Urging all amnesty job-seekers to contact these centres, the Indian Embassy has also rolled out a new helpline number 0562622118 (8 am to 8 pm) to assist the applicants.
A top official said Indian Workers Resource Centre was recently renamed as Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra and continues to offer the same services.
"Both our centres in Dubai and Sharjah have been renamed. There is no change in our mode of operations. We continue to provide assistance to Indian nationals in distress," said Anish Choudhury, PBSK manager.
Amnesty-seekers - who regularise their visa status and wish to continue working in the UAE - can contact these centres through mail or call round-the-clock helpline number 80046342.
"They can mail to help@iwrcuae.in with 'Amnesty Job-Seekers' as the subject line. We would then send the applicants a template, which they have to fill and mail to help@iwrcuae.in . They should also include copies of passport with visa and curriculum vitae. We will then forward the CVs to the Indian Embassy, which, in turn, will send them to the prospective employers," he said and added that employers can send their manpower requirement to the centre.
Amnesty job-seekers, who cannot access internet, can visit the centres for assistance.
The embassy had earlier approached large companies in the UAE to provide jobs to amnesty-seekers. And two-three firms have agreed to offer jobs to Indians with required skill sets.
Indian Embassy has rolled out a new helpline number 0562622118 (8am to 8pm) to solely assist amnesty seekers.
