Light show at the Burj Khalifa

Replacing the much-anticipated fireworks, Burj Khalifa will be having a special light show to ring in the New Year 2018. The 'Light Up 2018' celebrations will kick off at 5pm starting with The Dubai Fountain shows and live music.
We also know that 'Light Up 2018' is set to be an official Guinness World Records title attempt. So, why not be part of the history being made.

 

Free concert by Diana Haddad 

If you are a fan of Lebanese pop star Diana Haddad, head to City Walk on New Year's eve and enjoy her free concert. The singer will perform on a stage in front of Hub Zero at 10.30 pm and ring in the new year with you.  
The event is open for all and free of charge. 

Cheb Khaled free concert 

Why wait till 31st December for the New Year festivities to begin? Ring in the long weekend New Year celebrations on Friday with a free concert by Cheb Khaled at Global Village in Dubai. The Algerian musician is best known for his song Aicha, that hit the airwaves in 1996.  
The concert is free on purchase of a general admission ticket of Dh15.   

Fireworks across the city 

If you don't want to be part of the thousands gathering at the Burj Khliafa for the special 'Light Up 2018' show, you can head to any of the other destinations to enjoy the New Year fireworks. 
Burj Al Arab, The Palm, Festival City, JBR and Global Village are some of the spots where revelers can come together to watch fireworks, light shows and other celebrations to ring in 2018.

Dubai Shopping Festival 

With just a day for the much-awaited Dubai Shopping Festival to start, you could spend your evening at any of the malls on 31st December. Enjoy the festivities and crowd-free shopping as you fill your bags with the best bargains in the town. 
Don't forget the 12-hour sale that begins tomorrow from 12 pm to 12 am at select outlets throughout the city. On grabs are international brands at up to 90 per cent sale.
