A total of 12 Indians were killed in the horrific bus crash in Al Rashidiya that claimed 17 lives on Thursday, June 6. Four Indians were discharged after receiving treatment in Rashid Hospital. Family members of the deceased are identifying remains of bodies in the Dubai Police Forensics Department.

Seventeen people died and five others were critically injured when a bus full of holiday makers returning from Oman after the Eid holidays met with an accident near Rashidiya exit on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road at 5.40pm on Thursday evening.

Consul general of India to Dubai Vipul has confirmed the total death toll of Indians and announced on Twitter the full list of the 12 victims. Vipul tweeted, "With great sadness we inform that Indian fatalities in Dubai bus accident has gone up to 12. Our officers are at Rashidiya police station and mortuary to extend all assistance. Our effort now is to get formalities completed soon so that mortal remains can be repatriated soon."
