Dubai - The Dubai Ruler's daughter Shaikha Latifa got engaged to Shaikh Faisal Saud Khalid Al Qasimi in November this year.
Shaikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, recently got married to Shaikh Faisal Saud Khalid Al Qasimi.
Earlier in November this year, the couple got engaged in a grand ceremony attended by family and friends at Dubai's World Trade Centre, which caught the media's attention after the couple announced their engagement on Instagram.
The event was attended by members of UAE's royal families and dignitaries.
The dashing husband belongs to a royal family from Ras Al Khaimah and is a dynamic entrepreneur in the finance and banking sector.
SHAIKH FAISAL WITH HIS FATHER-IN-LAW, SHAIKH MOHAMMED:
FAIRY TALE WEDDING
The royal wedding took place on December 1 at the same venue as the engagement. It was also a regal - albeit quiet - affair, without any official announcement, however Instagram was flooded with pictures of the grand decorations at the event, pictures of the bride and groom, a snapshot of the invitation card and a tribute poem to the couple that was posted by newly wed Shaikha Latifa:
Shortly after the wedding, Shaikh Faisal had shared this beautiful tribute poem to his wife.
The poem - composed in the form of a traditional song - was posted by Shaikh Faisal on Instagram earlier in December. The post has garnered over 25,000 views.
Loosely translated, the poem compares the young Shaikha to precious jewellery - a poetic expression of how she is as invaluable as a gem to him:
It is noteworthy that such royal events are usually a private affair, without any media coverage, which is why there has been no official announcement regarding the wedding.
We wish the couple a happy and blessed married life.
