Brigadier Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, director-general of the central operations department, said this was the highest speed detected in recent times.
The speedster was caught on the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road, where the speed limit is 120km/h.
The police have summoned the reckless driver and impounded his car, the officer said.
