Have you ever wanted to test the bond between you and your four-legged pal? The Human and K9 Ultimate Challenge is back in its third edition to give pet lovers an adrenaline rush, complete with fresh air and mesmerising sights in the great outdoors.
The non-competitive challenge, set for December 11, will see participants and pooches from across the UAE gather in Al Jais, Ras Al Khaimah and brave a three- to four-hour hike, which is suitable for all levels of fitness. Safety is guaranteed, especially for new hikers, as checkpoints across the course ensure that you are well enough to continue down the trail. Founder and co-organiser of the Human and K9 Ultimate Challenge Hussain Darwish adds: "The challenge is designed to stimulate the body and minds of both humans and canines, strengthening the bond between owner and animal in a fun and challenging day out, as well as allowing participants who all have their love of dogs in common to connect and share the experience. We're glad to see that so many people here are recognising the value of this." While participants can bring their own canine companions, others can adopt a dog from K9 Friends for the weekend to create lasting memories together.
An international team of 27 multilingual marshalLs will also be onboard alongside Darwish with their own doggy pals to ensure families and individuals as well as their canine friends have a great time. The base camp will feature delicious barbecue and chilled refreshments.
Also on site will be Royal Canin, the global dog food manufacturer, Tactical Training, an outdoor equipment supplier, who will showcase their products and services. Besides, RAK Wildlife Project will take participants on an educational journey to raise awareness about UAE's flora and fauna.
So, what are you waiting for?
