Law-enforcement officials warned residents against performing a popular dance phenomenon which has gone viral on social media.
The "In My Feelings" song by Canadian singer Drake, spawned the "#Inmyfeelings" or Kiki challenge.
It poses a grave risk, not only to the dancing driver, but also to all road users, according to Col Saeed Obaid bin Aran, director of traffic and patrols department at the UAQ police.
He warned that a fine of Dh2,000 and 23 black traffic points shall be slapped on any motorist caught doing the dance.
"The vehicle involved in the grave traffic violation shall be impounded for 60 days."
Sources at Ras Al Khaimah's police department said that leaving a moving car to dance on the road is a serious traffic violation.
"Motorists should never ever be involved in this Kiki dance - or any other dance on the road whether they are at the wheel or not.
"Should the erring driver get involved in an accident - or incur casualties - they  will draw more penalties, including imprisonment."
Sameh Mohammed, an Egyptian resident, said he heard about the dance on social media.
"To dance in a proper place is fine, but to do this while driving on the road is not acceptable at all, and pose a big risk to road users."
A young woman was recently shown in a video being run over by a car after attempting the Kiki challenge, according to Al Bayan
Details have yet to emerge regarding the fate of the young woman who may be internet dance sensation's first casualty.
