Ajman Criminal Court sentenced a 36-year-old Asian man to three months imprisonment, Dh5,000 fine for insulting a company's representative via WhatsApp messages.
The expat will be deported after the completion of his sentence.
According to Al Bayan's report, the victim said that the accused man insulted him and threatened him in a voice note on WhatsApp, saying that he will murder him, along with other insults, including those directed towards his religion.
He added that the accused sent the message after the representative refused to sign incomplete documents.
The accused confessed to sending the messages, however he didn't intend to threaten the worker.
