The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams will not be held until February 2021, India's Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has said.

He said a decision on when to start the exams will be taken by the government later.

This came as Pokhriyal held a live interaction with teachers on the upcoming board exams.

Teachers and students at CBSE-affiliated schools in the UAE and elsewhere have been sharing their concerns and suggestions on Twitter by using #EducationMinisterGoesLive.

Previously, Pokhriyal had interacted with students regarding entrance exams and online classes.

Students' main concerns have been regarding the upcoming CBSE exams, question paper patterns and exam dates.

The schedule for the CBSE examinations 2021 has not been shared with the students, which has made both pupils and their parents anxious.

The minister said the exam will be conducted offline.
