Abu Dhabi Police honoured a quick-thinking girl who saved her mother's life in Abu Dhabi. The 9-year-old Emirati girl, Mahra Al Muhri, had called 999 after her mother suffered some health complications. Emergency responders asked her to describe the location and her mother's condition, give the address and follow medical instructions relayed to her by a paramedic. The Year 4 student at Al Rayana School continued to assist her mother till paramedics arrived and safely transported her mother to the hospital. She was lauded for her outstanding listening skills and her adeptness at handling an emergency situation. Colonel Zayed Al Hajri, director of the Emergency and Public Safety Department, stressed the importance of raising the public's awareness of emergency management. Al Rayana School administration also thanked Abu Dhabi Police for their kind gesture in honouring one of their students.
