Rumours of a popular chocolate candy bar having traces of pig fat have been going around in UAE.
The Dubai Municipality issued a clarification, denying the "Break Supa" chocolate has traces of bacon grease.
"The food additive E471 in Break Supa chocolate is made from vegetable oil and authorised for use according to food additive regulations in UAE.
"The product can't contain bacon grease," the post on social media reads, "because UAE does not produce pork products at all."
The chocolate bar is produced by Tiffany, IFFCO's flagship brand of impulse foods, all made in UAE.
