The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast rainfall in the UAE over the next few days. The NCM predicts that the rainfall will continue until Monday, March 23.
According to the NCM, light rains were reported over Tarif, Al Mirfa Road, Um Ghafa and in Al Ain early in the morning.
The NCM has predicted hazy and partly cloudy weather for today in UAE with a probability of convective clouds formation accompanied with rainfall, especially over eastern and central areas.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution as Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds, blowing at speeds of 20kmph to 30kmph, reaching up to 45kmph, will kick up dust in exposed areas.
The Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists to be extra vigilant during rainy weather. The police also urged drivers to follow changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 32 - 35°C along internal areas.
The sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times with clouds activity in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Oman Sea.
On Wednesday, many parts of the UAE, including Dubai, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi received light to moderate showers.
