After years of speculation, veteran TV host and Eat Bulaga's "bossing" (big boss) Vic Sotto has confirmed his engagement to long-time girlfriend and co-host Pauleen Luna.
The confirmation came from Vic during a press conference for CitiGlobal Development Inc. of which he's an ambassador.
Asked if it was true that he and Pauleen were engaged, Vic said, "Yes, we are," but he refused to give more details, saying, "we will do so (at the right time)," quoting the popular line often delivered by Wally Bayola's character Lola Nidora in the smash-hit KalyeSerye AlDub of their phenomenal noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Sources close to the couple revealed that Vic has just given Pauleen a three-carat Solitaire engagement ring that he bought in Hong Kong last week. Theirs has been a controversial affair. The 60-year old comedian, Vic, first met his would-be bride, 26-year old Pauleen, years ago when Pauleen competed in Little Miss Philippines, a beauty contest on Eat, Bulaga!
Although the couple has been very private about it, sources say the wedding is most likely to happen within the year.
