A newly-wed Indian couple was ignored at their wedding reception as guests could not resist watching the nail-biting final moments of the IPL 2019 match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

According to a report in the Indian Express, the video going viral shows wedding guests glued to a big screen on which the IPL final was streamed live on May 12. The footage shows guests forgetting about the bride and groom and breaking into a celebratory dance when Mumbai Indians' Lasith Malinga bowls a slow ball, helping his team win the match by 1 run, and their fourth title.
The video shows guests dancing and taking selfies, and the wedding band playing beats at Mumbai Indians' victory. The footage was shared by a Twitter user, Sarang Bhalerao, who said he received the video as a WhatsApp forward. Along with the video, the Twitter user wrote: 'This is from one of the wedding receptions. Cricket took the centre stage. Check out the celebrations in the end. Received as Whatsapp Forward'.
