A child suffocated to death in a school bus after the driver forgot to check if the vehicle was empty in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. The Saudi national, Abdul Aziz bin Mustafa Al Muslim, had been asleep when his friends disembarked. The temperature, which exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, combined with high humidity and resulted in the child suffocating to death. He was a second-grade student at Ibn Khaldoon primary school in Saihat in the Sharqiya province. An official spokesperson from the education zone in Sharqiya, Saeed Al Bahes, said: "The student died because the bus driver forgot him in the bus while he was asleep, and didn't realise the child hadn't disembarked till it was too late."
