An Emirates A380 and an airplane from Scoot - a Singapore-based budget airline - were involved in a minor collision while on the runway at Changi Airport on Thursday morning.
An Emirates spokesperson told Khaleej Times:
"Emirates flight EK405 from Singapore to Dubai on 30 March was slightly damaged during pushback. Engineering inspections determined that some repairs will be required and as a result all our affected passengers have now been rebooked on alternative flights.According to the Singapore-based Straits Times, a Scoot flight bound for the Chinese city of Tianjin was taxiing on the runway when the incident occurred at about 1.40am. According to the report, all 303 passengers and 11 crew members were unharmed and put on board a replacement aircraft at 6am.
Emirates apologises for any inconvenience caused, however the safety of our passengers and crew is of utmost importance."
