A flight attendant for China Eastern Airlines was fired for accepting a mid-air marriage proposal.
According to the Asia One, 30 minutes after takeoff her boyfriend went down on his knees on the flight and proposed to her.
The incident took place in May but the woman was fired on September 10.
However, the airline has said that the flight attendant neglected the safety of the passengers which is why she was fired from the job.
"Private romantic behavior caused turmoil among passengers and was extremely irresponsible for the safety of passengers," Channel 8 quoted the airline as saying.
