New luxury is all about the appreciation and enjoyment of genuine craftsmanship. This quality is put centre stage during August as Harrods celebrates Made with Love.
Top of the list are the world's most desirable bags: exclusive editions of Chloé's Drew bag; a tangerine exotic clutch from Loewe; a heart-shaped Falabella from Stella McCartney and many more.
Furthermore, a Fendi boutique will pop up in the ground floor exhibition windows, allowing guests to experience a virtual version of its new headquarters in Rome's Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. The pop-up will be home to exclusive Fendi products and limited-edition colourways of bags including 2Jours and By The Way.
Elsewhere in the store, there will be clever edits of the best-known names in luxury, from bejewelled Jimmy Choo slippers for men and Etro high-shine leather brogues to limited-edition dresses from the world's top womenswear labels, including Alexander McQueen and Mary Katrantzou.
The Fine Jewellery Room will showcase Bulgari's one-of-a-kind jewels and Cartier's Panthère de Cartier range of timepieces. In Home, there are three exclusive rugs from The Rug Company, selected by Suzanne Sharp, and the Food Halls will focus on Xavier David cheeses and Ibérico ham from Sánchez Romero Carvajal - both of which are exclusive to Harrods.
The world's finest artisans will be in the spotlight, meticulously cutting, stitching, etching and polishing in the name of integrity and heritage. With retail theatre on the shop floor, a dedicated section on Harrods Magazine, shopping edits on harrods.com, footage on the in-store screen network and full details in the store guide, Harrods is Made with Love.
Lower Ground Floor: (14th to 16th August) An artisan from Salvatore Ferragamo will demonstrate the special construction of the Tramezza shoe. Magnanni will showcase its exclusive Made with Love Opanka style.
Ground Floor: There will be tastings throughout the Food Halls; in The Fine Watch Room, artisans from Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC and other brands will create watch straps embossed with the Made with Love logo.
Second Floor: (14th to 16th August) Receive a complimentary illustration with any Aspinal of London purchase. (21st to 23rd August) Take part in the Aspinal of London competition; customers can design a bag, then submit it for a chance to win a bespoke Marylebone tote. (Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August) An artisan from The Bridge will be in-store to demonstrate the luggage brand's intricate craftsmanship; also, customers will be able to personalise and emboss their purchases.
Sixth Floor, Salon de Parfums: Meet the founders of French perfume house Henry Jacques and book one-to-one appointments and private consultations.
In addition to in-store presentations, many departments will be offering special services and personalisation.
