 Ahsanullah fired a 50-ball century to guide Malik Contracting LLC to a comfortable 78-run victory in the inaugural Musthaq Premier League night tournament. This is Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association's first night tournament held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.
In the other matches, Singh Diesel, Al Futtaim Motors Toyota and Fanatics secured easy wins.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Malik Contracting made a whooping 236 for five in 20 overs. Ahsanullah led the charge scoring an unbeaten 103 in just 50 deliveries that was powered with six boundaries and five sixes. He was supported well by Bakhtiyar Khan who smashed a 40-ball 60 in which he scored 10 fours and a six. Adnan Ubaidullah chipped in with a 13-ball 21 before the last batsmen were all out for ducks. Dhairya was the star bowler for Premium Aces scalping three wickets.
Replying to a big target, Premium Aces lost wickets at regular intervals as they were shot out for only 158 in 20 overs. While Sreedhar Suresh and Dhairya Udeshi top scored with an identical 24, Rinoj Mohd and Shayatam Baneerjee hit 20 each.
For the winners, Malik Khairo scalped three wickets while Amir Shahzad picked two.
In another match, Salman Babar fired a 35-ball 60 as Singh Diesel secured a 16-run victory over Thrissur Tigers. Needing 215 to win, the Tigers were on target with Shijith Chandran scoring a fine 46 before Fawad Gafoor and Mohammed Adnan scalped two wickets each to restrict Thrissur Tigers to 198 for six in 20 overs. Al Futtaim scored a convincing 101-run victory over Memon after Shamsher Khan scored a 46-ball 8.
