Sindhis CEO Jawad Ghulam Rasool says the second season of the T10 League has been a huge success.
"If you see the quality of cricket, it's as good as in any international tournament in the world. It's not just the top players, we have top broadcasters as well with well-known commentators like Waqar Younis, Michael Slater, Ramiz Raja commentating on these high quality matches," Rasool told Khaleej Times in an exclusive interview.
"It's also the production quality, the ground management. The ICC officials are conducting the event. There has been no compromise on the quality. So that's the beauty of the tournament," he added.
Rasool, who was the CEO of the Pakhtoons in the inaugural season of the league, said organising a T10 League is not easy.
"This season, our chairman of the league, Mr Shaji ul Mulk, wanted my services again. You know it looks like a shorter format, shorter tournament. But you need to still work very hard to make it happen," he said.
Rasool then explained the reason behind expanding the tournament this season after having a four-day event last year.
"Last year we had only four days. In those four days, if you lose a match, you had little chances of coming back in contention. Now we have a 12-day format. We have a good amount of matches. I can see more maturity, more depth this season," he said.
"Now coaches and team management have got more time to do their work with the team. The players are mentally more relaxed. If somehow one team is not able to perform in one match, it's not going to be their last match. They get another match to regain their rhythm. So this season has been a more mature season. It's a season that has given players more opportunity to show their talent," he said.
While the T10 League has attracted retired stars like Brendon McCullum, Shahid Afridi, Sindhis captain Shane Watson, it has also managed to get top current players like England captain Eoin Morgan
"Considering the cramped international schedule, it's an achievement for this league to have so many current players," he said.
"It's important for us to get the current players from the cricket boards at a time when South Africa is also hosting a domestic T20 league. It shows the kind of impact our league has made."
