Wanderley marked his return from a 10-match ban by putting the finishing touches to Al Nasr's victory over Al Shabab in the Arabian Gulf League.
Wanderley, who was handed the ban by the UAE Football Association after he was involved in a passport row, scored a penalty in stoppage time as the Blue Wave won 4-0 at the Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium. Masoud Sulaiman, Mahmoud Khamis and Ahmed Khamis had scored earlier on 13, 53 and 68 minutes respectively.
Al Nasr's 10th win and fifth on the road pushed them to sixth in the standings with 32 points, while Al Shabab's eighth loss and fifth at home left them in eighth spot.
Dan Petrescu's men went ahead on 13 minutes with a brilliant solo from Masoud Sulaiman, who fired a long ranger into goal after finding Al Shabab goalkeeper Nader Ragab out of position. After the break, Mahmoud Khamis gave cushion to their lead with his well-taken corner sailing into the goal, on 53 minutes.
Ahmed Khamis, comING on for the injured Jires Kembo-Ekoko, then made it 3-0 by slipping it past Ragab after being set up by Moroccan Abdelaziz Barrada. Wanderley rounded it off in the third minute of stoppage time, tucking in the penalty after Mohamed Ayed had handled the ball inside the box off a Sulaiman cross.
