Emirati Victory Team pilot Mansoor Al Mansoori is looking to get his UIM F2 World Championship chase on track with a good showing at the Grand Prix of Denmark, being held this weekend in the northern Danish city of Aalborg.
The Grand Prix of Denmark, the second round of the UIM F2 World Championship, is a race staged on Limfjord between the two parts of the city of Aalborg. Aalborg lies to the south of the fjord and Nørresundby lies to the north.
Al Mansoori has risen rapidly through the world powerboating ranks since his 2015 debut in the F4 Championships. He initially had to alternate between mandatory military service and racing, but he's been able to give powerboating his full attention since last year and is a genuine contender in the 2018 F2 championship.
Huraiz Al Mur Mohammad Bin Huraiz, Chairman, Board of Directors, Victory Team said: "At Victory Team, we never stop thinking. We are always keen to ensure a bright future for our sport and that is the reason why we followed this young driver, Mansoor, and today he is one of ours.
"Mansoor knows perfectly well what is expected of him, and he has already shown a lot of potential going forward. As a team we can only wish him all the best and some exciting and safe racing in the future with the proud blues colours of our team," he added.
F2 powerboat racing is a thrilling, entertaining sport in which competitors potentially reach speeds in excess of 200km/h.
