Floyd Mayweather Jr is currently in the emirate here so that he and his 'Money Team' entourage can receive the "Royal Treatment" for a few days.
The retired American boxer, 38, posted a selfie of himself underneath the iconic Burj Khalifa on Instagram after checking himself and 24 guests into the nearby Armani Hotel. He shared the same snap and information on his official Facebook and Twitter accounts.
"Haven't been to the UAE in a while, so I decided to come get the Royal Treatment and take 23 people to Dubai to hang out for a few days," wrote the former five-division world champion, who - as an undefeated fighter from 49 bouts - is widely regarded as the greatest pound-for-pound pugilist of this, or any other, generation.
"I used to stay at the Burj Al Arab, but now I'm at the Armani Hotel." Referencing the world-renowned landmark that he photographed and currently resides next to for now, Mayweather Jr seemingly could hardly contain his excitement at seeing "the tallest building in the world!"
Mayweather Jr often uses social media to showcase his reported $400m (Dh1.5 billion) fortune. Indeed, this month alone, he has flown - via 'Air Mayweather' no less - to Moscow, Istanbul, Monte Carlo and Rome on a whistle-stop European tour prior to this fleeting visit to west Asia. He also chartered five helicopters to take 20 members of his team to lunch in St Tropez from 007's (James Bond's) "stomping ground" over in Monaco.
