Golf has got its own Einstein. His name - Bryson DeChambeau.
The 25-year-old American's meticulous approach to the game has already earned him the nickname - the Scientist - in the golfing world.
While Tiger Woods mesmerized the world with the beauty of his extraordinary talent, DeChambeau believes he has what it takes to revolutionise the sport with his scientific approach.
The iconic Majlis Course saw the American's brilliance on Sunday as he earned a record-breaking seven-stroke victory at the Dubai Desert Classic at 24 under par - the lowest score achieved by a winner in the Dubai tournament's 30-year history.
Having achieved the first European Tour victory of his career, DeChambeau revealed the biggest inspiration in his life.
"Einstein has always intrigued me with not being successful in school and then being incredibly successful after college, and that's kind of the same thing for me," the world number five said.
"Sometimes school doesn't really prepare you for the real world and what you're going to do, and golf is unique, too. It really is a sport that hasn't been figured out. I wanted to kind of do that. I wanted it to be one of my goals in life," he added.
"For Einstein, general relativity, he wanted to figure that out and he did. It's pretty amazing what he's done for the world and his work stands the test of time, and I want something in the game of golf that will do the same."
DeChambeau then revealed why Dubai holds a special place in his heart.
"I've had a lot of dreams and I've accomplished a lot of them, but this win is incredibly special. And Dubai, it's a futuristic city and a place I loved coming to in 2016 and again here in 2019," he said.
DeChambeau, who on Sunday recorded his fourth win in his last nine starts, feels he could be a Major contender this year if he could replicate his Dubai performance.
"I believe if I have the ball-striking capabilities like I did today, I can definitely contend," he said.
