Godolphin's Ice Storm will be making his third Grade 3 appearance while Summer Scent will get her first sniff at a graded competition in Japan on Sunday.
Ice Storm, whose previous two runs in Grade 3 company was last year, is part of a full field of 18 runners that will compete in the Epsom Cup in Tokyo.
The five-year-old son of Storming Home, Ice Storm was 13th on his Grade 3 debut in the Kokura Kinen Handicap in Kokura last August. But he went on to show improvement by finishing third in the Grade 3 Chunichi Shimbun Hai last December.
And following three runs after that, including a victory in the May Stakes in his last outing, the racing operation is hoping his progress continues.
"He will be endeavouring to improve on his previous best performance which was third in a G3 last December. And the omens seem reasonably favourable," said Harry Sweeney, President of Godolphin in Japan.
Meanwhile, four-year-old filly Summer Scent will make her graded bow in the Grade 3 Mermaid Stakes in Hanshin.
"Summer Scent has won three JRA races to date but this weekend she will be eschewing an opportunity to run in a three-win conditions race in favour of a first tilt at a Group race," Sweeney said.
