An off-colour Real Madrid landed in Abu Dhabi on Sunday evening. The 'Whites' are bidding to win their third Fifa Club World Cup title and play Asian champions Kashima Antlers in the semifinals on Wednesday.
The top-flight Spanish club aren't in best of shape. On Saturday, Real survived 1-0 against relegation battlers Rayo Vallecano in La Liga match at Santiago Bernabeu stadium. In 2015, Real had thumped Rayo by 10-2 margin. And few days back, Real suffered humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of CSKA Moscow in the Champions League. It was their biggest home defeat in European competition.
The team of superstars has been dubbed as 'boring' by their fans and Spanish media.
So, the likes of Marcelo, Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have lots to prove before they wind up 2018 season. Coach Santiago Solari's side will play Kashima Antlers at Zayed Sports City Stadium on Wednesday evening.
