Over 100,000 fans from all over the world enjoyed the long weekend at the 2015 Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens. The successful rugby extravaganza event saw 28 international teams compete in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and the HSBC World Rugby Women's Sevens Series, 245 invitation teams competed in The Invitation Tournament and 24 netball teams in the brand new Netball Tournament - record breaking numbers for the 46th edition of the Dubai Sevens.
Donal Kilalea, tournament commercial and operations manager, said: "Dubai has grown enormously; when this event began 46 years ago it was all on sand and now we have over 100,000 people attending and something we are all very proud of. A lot of work goes into running an event such as this and we must thank everyone that has helped us make sure we stay relevant and attractive for all our fans and special thanks must go to the Dubai Police for all their support."
