The Indo-Swiss tennis pairing of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis continued their winning run to reach yet another final when they made it to the women's doubles summit clash of the $250,000 Guangzhou Open here on Friday.
The top seeds took just an hour and 12 minutes to beat Israeli-Swedish combination of Julia Glushko and Rebecca Peterson 6-3, 6-4 on the outdoor hard courts of the Guangzhou International Tennis Center.
The first set was pretty easy as the reigning US Open champions broke their opponents twice to take the advantage in the match.
The second set was a topsy-turvy one as Julia and Rebecca came back strongly to break the reigning Wimbledon champions twice. But Sania and Martina proved just a tad bit better as they broke the unseeded pair's serve thrice to take home the set and the match.
It wasn't the best of service days for the Indo-Swiss combine as they committed as many as five double faults in the match with three coming in the second set. But they knew when to earn the crucial points to enter the final.
