Saudi footballer Fahad Al Muwallad is currently in intensive care after falling from the balcony of his Dubai home on September 12 while on a vacation in the UAE.
The footballer was involved in an "accident", and the initial investigations showed that the incident occurred while he was on the balcony of the second-floor residence, according to a statement released by the Dubai Media Office.
The Dubai Police General Command added that Al Muwallad's condition is being closely monitored at a Dubai hospital, where medical teams are working diligently to provide care. The Dubai Police have stated that investigations are still underway, and the results will be shared with the relevant authorities once concluded.

Al Muwallad is a winger for Al Shabab football club and is on the national team squad. In a statement, Al Shabab stated that the Saudi Sports Minister is directly following up on the condition of the player.
In reference to the health condition suffered by Captain Fahd Al Muwallad, we would like to clarify that the player was exposed yesterday morning, Thursday, September 12, 2024, to a fall accident in his private home in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and was transferred to a hospital where he is currently receiving the necessary medical care, with direct follow-up from His Highness. Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Football Federation, the Saudi Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate General in Dubai, and the club management. We wish Captain Fahd a speedy recovery.
Al Muwallad has earned 74 caps for Saudi Arabia, netting 17 goals for his country.
He began his career at Al Ittihad, where he made nearly 250 appearances and scored 76 goals. Al Muwallad briefly ventured into European football with a loan to Spanish side Levante, becoming the first Saudi player to feature in the Spanish top division.
In 2022, he joined Al Shabab, playing 38 matches and scoring twice. Recently, he represented Saudi Arabia in World Cup qualifiers against Indonesia and China, playing a total of 19 minutes.
