Al Jazira's dream run at the Fifa Club World Cup and semifinal clash against Real Madrid has seen a renewed interest in match tickets.
Even as the Local Organising Committee had on December 1 announced a final release of limited tickets for the semifinal and final, there is a great demand at this point. Unfortunately, all tickets are snapped up through www.FIFA.com/uae2017.
However, many fans or rather opportunist who had purchased tickets earlier are making a killing by putting it online in various classified websites.
Figure this: Category 3 ticket of Dh40 is being put online for Dh500, Category 2 of Dh100 ticket is up for grabs at Dh500 and Category 1 of Dh250 is pegged between Dh1,200-Dh1,500. The advertised tickets are with key spots in the stadium indicating the smart work of brokers and agents.
Seeing this sort of demand, organisers have said Fifa may release few tickets but fans need to keep a check on Fifa website.
