Etisalat exclusively launches Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge in the UAE

Abu Dhabi: Etisalat customers will be the first to get the latest 4G LTE Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as the sale of the new devices will begin at 6.00pm on April 9. Customers can exclusively avail of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on all colors – white, black and gold.

Commenting on the launch, Khaled El Khouly, Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat, said, "We are always keen to bring the latest smartphones to our customers in the UAE. Our customers will be the first to get the much awaited Galaxy S6 Edge, enjoying flexible data bundles subscription options to keep them connected with friends and at work”

Galaxy S6 Edge is the world’s first smartphone with dual-curved glass display. It also includes a 5.1" Quad HD Super AMOLED® display. Pictures, games, and videos are all amazingly vivid and detailed. Not only is it stunning, but it is packed with smart functionality and equipped with the latest Exynos processors from Samsung. It also comes with 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and 5MP front camera.

Prepaid customers can buy both the high-end Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on a standalone basis at Dh3099 for 32GB capacity and at Dh3399 for 64GB. Prepaid customers enjoy 1GB of free monthly data for the first three months, after which a monthly charge of Dh99 applies.

Postpaid customers in the UAE will have the opportunity to get the Galaxy S6 Edge for free with one of three packages. Customers can also have the Galaxy S6 Edge with more options with Etisalat’s smartphone plans, offering 1 GB data allowance and 50 flexi-minutes on 24 months contract for Dh225 monthly; 10GB data allowance and 300 flexi-minutes on 18 months contract for Dh425 monthly; and 20 GB and 2000 local minutes or 750 flexible minutes Flexi-minutes can be used for local, international and incoming roaming calls for Dh675.

Alternatively, customers can get a discount of Dh600 once they buy Galaxy S6 Edge with postpaid plans that include 10 GB monthly data and 300 flexible minutes or 1000 local minutes for Dh250 on an 18-month contract.

Samsung Galaxy S6 is offered for free to Etisalat postpaid customers with Etisalat’s new smartphone packages. Prepaid customer can purchase the device with a variety of attractive data bundles.

Customers will also be able to take advantage of Etisalat’s fastest LTE network, which covers nearly 90 per cent of the country’s populated area and offers high-speeds of up to 300 Mbps.

As a standard feature, Etisalat’s customers of the new Samsung smartphones can monitor their data and voice usage, pay their bills and much more through Etisalat’s self-care mobile application - Etisalat-UAE - available for free download on all platforms, including iOS, BlackBerry, Android and Windows.
