India has just welcomed the newest additions to a market everyone wants to be part of.
Asus on Wednesday launched its ZenFone 3 line in the country, and here's a look on what they have to offer and how much they would set you back.
ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL)
Before we proceed, there are actually two variants of the ZenFone 3.
The first sports a 5.2-inch Super IPS+ display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 16MP and 8MP cameras and a 2600mAh battery. It is dual SIM and will sell for Rs21,999 (roughly Dh1,200).
ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL)
The big-brother ZenFone 3 has basically the same specs of its little sibling, except that it has a 5.5-inch screen, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of expandable storage and a 3000mAh battery. It starts at Rs27,999 (Dh1,530).
ZenFone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL)
We're getting bigger, aren't we? This massive device has a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB of expandable storage, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, 23MP and 8MP cameras and a 4600mAh battery. Starts at Rs49,999 (Dh2,750).
ZenFone 3 Laser (ZC551KL)
Shrinking back down a bit, this gizmo has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen, 2GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of expandable storage, an octa-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 13MP (with laser autofocus) and 8MP cameras and a 3000mAh battery. Sells starting at a reasonable Rs18,999 (Dh1,050).
ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL)
Got more cash to spare? Asus' most expensive smartphone comes in two configurations, as you will find out: The device has a 5.7-inch Super Amoled screen, 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB of expandable storage, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820/821 processor, 23MP and 8MP cameras and (only) a 3000mAh battery. Priced at Rs49,999 and Rs62,999 (Dh3,450).
And except for the Laser that comes with USB 2.0, each device comes with a USB Type-C port. Also, all of the new Asus smartphones ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and don a fingerprint scanner.
