Apple finally unveiled their new line of smartphones earlier this week. Leading the pack is the iPhone X which is priced at a staggering starting price of $999 - the most expensive iPhone to date. If you plug that price tag in a currency converter, the amount in UAE dirhams would be close to Dh3,669 - instead of the starting price of Dh4,099 on Apple UAE's website. This is not just the case in UAE, but fans will really have to pay more for the upcoming smartphone in other countries too.
According to a CNN Tech report, iPhone X's in some countries such as Canada and Japan cost an extra $100 more than it does in the US. Currently, iPhone X buyers in Italy have to pay more than $400 extra to get a hold of the new gadget.
An analyst consulted by the report said that the different prices are due to a number of factors such as currency conversions, local taxes and also depending on the average resident's income in the country.
