Saudi Arabia has now taken over the G20 presidency for 2020, and as a part of a very important goal, the intention is to adopt long-term and bold strategies to share the benefits of innovation and technological advancement.
The digital boardroom witnessed participation from top digital leaders from government sector of Saudi Arabia: King Fahad Medical City, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, General Authority of Zakat & Tax, General Authority of Awqaf, Ministry of Defense, General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saudi Press Agency, Ministry of Municipal & Rural Affairs, Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee as they discussed their exposure and understanding of Cloud, barriers to its adoption such as data security, best practices on aligning stakeholders with investments in cloud computing as well as effective utilization of allocated budgets.
Speaking about Digitizing the government & public sector, Talal Alsaif | Public Sector & Telco Sales Manager - Nutanix Inc., said " Government agencies must maintain the delicate balance between budget restrictions and the growing demands for IT services. As a result, IT teams in the public sector are tasked with making difficult decisions to demonstrate financial responsibility, while delivering all of the services the public needs. To accomplish their goals, government agencies need powerful, cost-effective IT solutions, and the flexibility to easily and effectively scale their environments. Nutanix provides predictable economics and scalability benefits of web-scale IT to help deliver better services with the current budget. We have helped hundreds of government departments and agencies make the transition to an efficient and virtualized datacenter built on web-scale hyper converged infrastructure. We are happy to have had the opportunity to share this expertise with Saudi Arabian government agencies and we look forward to continuing these discussions and deepening our engagement with them in the future.''
Nutanix provided another powerful agenda highlighting successful business cases, real ROI calculations, and main aim of a CIO and freeing resources to focus on higher-order business challenges and perform knowledge.
