LG recently recalled a number of OLED TVs because of a potential overheating issue, various media had reported.
The move affected approximately 60,000 televisions in its home market of South Korea, spanning 18 models sold from February 2016 to September 2019, LG said.
The issue was first reported by Yonhap News, according to Techradar.
A follow-up report on ZDNet says that LG had issued a statement, apologising and offering to swap out the components in question free of charge.
"The overheating issue occurred only in very few models out of the total that used the component, but we will provide free component swaps for all of them for customer safety," the company said.
