On Wednesday, a UAE network informed its users that they will now be able to enjoy online voice chatting in the UAE. The news come after Skype was blocked in the UAE over unlicensed VoIP calls.
In a support from from UAE telecom network du, their team announced that gamers will now be able to enjoy in-game voice chats for several games. Recently, networks blocked services such as Discord, which provided free voice and text chat for gamers. In a reply from duSupport, the forum moderator confirmed that voice chat now works for online games such as League of Legends, Fortnite and Overwatch.

Several du customers replied to the announcement confirming that in game chat is now back. User JazzBuzz said: "I can confirm that it is working for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. I can hear everyone clearly." MarcKadi confirmed that VoIP chat also works for Overwatch.

It is not yet clear whether the same features are available for Etisalat users.
